The Allston-Brighton Food Pantry provides nourishing food at no cost to members of the Allston-Brighton community. We’re dedicated to maintaining a welcoming atmosphere respectful to all community members without regard to race, religion, social position, ethnicity, gender, age or sexual orientation.
In 1974, members of the Brighton-Allston Congregational Church UCC recognized the problem of hunger in the community and began distributing food baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas. As a result, those in need made more frequent visits to the Church requesting food and other forms of assistance. To satisfy this community-wide need, the Allston Brighton Food Pantry was created, with the Community Supper program following two years later.
To this day, we continue to provide nourishing food at no cost to members of the Allston-Brighton community in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
