On the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month* we provide food baskets to income-eligible residents of Allston and Brighton. Food baskets contain a 3 to 4 day food supply for one household.
AM I ELIGIBLE?
In order to qualify for the Food Basket program you must provide:
- picture ID
- proof of income eligibility (welfare card, Mass Health card, disability papers or unemployment papers), or a referral from a social worker, clergy member, hospital staff, Food Source hotline, etc.
- a letter with a current postmark confirming your address.
If you can meet all of these requirements, arrive at the Allston-Brighton Food Pantry (404 Washington St, Brighton) between 10am and 1pm to receive your food basket.
*PLEASE NOTE:
In November, our normal schedule is replaced by a special Thanksgiving basket distribution the Saturday before Thanksgiving. In December, there is no distribution on the 4th Saturday.
